The Federal Government has again extended the deadline for the verification of National Identification Number (NIN) data against Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) cards.
The government had initially fixed December 31, 2021, as the deadline for the exercise.
But in in a joint statement signed by Dr. Ike Adinde, Director Public Affairs, Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) and Mr. Kayode Adegoke, the Head of National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), March 31, 2022, was announced as the new date.
“The Honourable Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof. Isa Ali Ibrahim (Pantami) FBCS, FNCS, FIIM, wishes to convey the approval of the Federal Government to further extend the deadline for the National Identification Number (NIN)-Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) data verification to the 31st of March, 2022.”
