A student of Kings College in Lagos State has been hailed over the feat he recently achieved in the West African Examination Council (WAEC).
Akinyemi Oluwafemi emerged one of the best students in the just concluded West African Senior School Certificate Examination in Nigeria after getting parallel As in his result.
Recall that the West African Examination Council (WAEC) had on November 22nd, released the results for this year.
Mr Patrick Areghan, Head of the Nigeria National Office of the Council, had in a statement, said the percentage of candidates who obtained credit and above in a minimum of five (5) subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, was 65.24%.
Areghan explained that out of the 1,560,261 million candidates that sat the examination, 1,398,370 million candidates, representing 89.62%, obtained credit and above in a minimum of any five subjects (i.e with or without English Language and/ or Mathematics.
However, Akinyemi Oluwafemi, according to his school had nine distinctions in the examination.
He wrote the following subjects: Data processing, Economics, Mathematics, English language, Civil Education, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Computer studies.
